Route 51 cycle path repair

From CBC

Just to let you know, work is due to start today at Cranfield to repair the surface damage on Cycle Route 51 caused by water run off. The work will be concentrated along Bridleway 12 towards Rectory Farm and The Thrift. As a result the Bridleway will need to be temporarily closed whilst the works are undertaken. It is not expected to take longer than 5 days, but we have agreed with the Forest of Marston Vale alternative routes along their tracks through the new plantations.

Signs have been erected on site to warn the public of what is happening. Unfortunately, because the contractor failed to give us adequate warning that the work was starting today, we were unable to publicise it in the local press.

If there are any problems please feel free to contact the project lead officer Chris Nicol (0300 300 6230 chris.nicol@centralbedfordshirecouncil.go.uk) or myself.

Many thanks

Rick
