1 and 2 High Street

Wow, talk about Groundhog Day? Turnberry Consulting opened their presentation last night at the PC about 1 and 2 the High Street, on behalf of the University. With very little ceremony they explained that it made sense to talk to Persimmon who would now be developing the site. Who?

And, yes, there was Jason from Persimmon's architects Woods Hardwick just as if he were talking about the community hall and leaps and neaps on Home Farm. We are deeply sceptical about Persimmon. They know we are. We know they realise that. They are aware that we have grasped that they understand our disbelief.

That's how well we know each other. It takes a decade to get that kind of rapport.

The quick version is 17 houses (though we think more) all two storey with access to the High Street and a 'drive' for three dwellings onto Lodge Road. They are hoping for access to the site by the end of this year. It might be all right if they don't stuff a school and a health centre in there.
