It's the owners I blame

Last year I reported problems with dogs - or to be more to precise a small number of dog owners - in the village. We had the following report from the police just before Christmas:

Dangerous dog - injured person - public place - Bedford Road - IP has been cycling along the location on her bike with her partner when she saw a dog off a lead running towards her. The owner of the dog had been behind the dog shouting at the IP to stop cycling and stand still. The IP and her partner have both stopped and remained still. The dog ran up to the IP and bitten the IP on her bottom. The owner of the dog ran over and pulled the dog away and made off on foot. A male with the dog owner has apologised to the IP and provided his address to the IP and then walked off.


Thank goodness there was at least one individual prepared to take responsibility for a dog they had some association with.
