Feel the stretch

My first Pilates evening last night. Nothing to do with Pontius, police and crime commissioner for 1st Century Judea. It's  a variation on the usual January diet routine I suppose. Mebbe, just mebbe a little longer lasting.

Delivered by the 6'1" statuesque, pencil slim, Mandy who says pilates put an end to 13 years back pain and endless visits to the physio. No reason to disbelieve her.

Anyway, we are working on our inner cores, learning to sit on our 'sit bones' ('pull away the flesh') and not on our coccyxes. We did Pilates 100 level 1. More fun next week. If we don't do pilates we will all be bent double in old age, seems to be the message. That's possible.

Flitwick Leisure Centre heaving last night. It could be the post xmas body revival movement or maybe the economy is due an exercise-led recovery. Did I see pigs over Marston Thrift as I drove home?
