Another eye catching story from yesterday's Beds on Sunday is about plans for a new Flitwick leisure centre That's great of course if you can get back and forward to Flitwick easily. It's a 12 minute drive but a journey round the known universe by public transport.
I have been arguing for some kind of Cranfield Marston Flitwick bus service for years but so far no one, not even Flitwick based Grant Palmer bus company seems willing to give it a try. Our village is designated a 'minor service centre'. Well, the major services are in Flitwick (train, leisure, shopping) and there should be more support to help people access these. Here endeth the rant.
