This is the plan from CBC for the new cycle track to the university. The accompanying info stated:
"Central Bedfordshire have commissioned the first phase of construction to commence in March in order to be completed in April/May 2013. This phase of works will intend to provide a 2.5m wide shared use (pedestrian and cycle) facility from Cranfield Road, west up to the Stilliters Farm access.
Further funding will be sought in order to complete the link to University Way at our soonest opportunity.
A plan showing the overall arrangement is attached for your reference."

This is obviously very encouraging news after a long period when not much happened. I'll supply further updates when details are put in the public domain.
