Advance warning of M1 weekend closure

Central Bedfordshire Council and the Highways Agency are giving road users advance warning of a 16-hour weekend closure of the M1 between Junctions 11 (Luton north) and 13 (A421, Bedford) while a bridge over Junction 12 is demolished. 

The road will be closed from 8pm on June 30 until 12pm on July 1, and motorists are advised to plan ahead, leave plenty of time and use an alternative route if they can. Read the rest of the release on the CBC news page
