Pathetic

Iain Lee on Radio3 Counties is pathetic. He wants a child who's school is closed to phone in and "gloat"  at another child who's school is not closed. Stop fantasising Iain about how you would like your broadcasting career to take off and start listening to real stories. You are in the League 2 of broadcasting.

Hey! Bloggy-twat bollocks! Iain Lee is alright and a great and, get this, experimental broadcaster!

I must say, I whole-HEARTedly agree with anon. Iain is great, and if you can't see humour in something that is clearly intended to be so, I think you should give up. The question that baffles me is, why moan about it? It's just one topic on one radio show on one station. You could listen to any other station, with any other presenter and listen to them fail in squeezing any remaining oil out of their well-trodden, long-since-virgin, olive-shaped topics. No, the fact that you're complaining means there's something about Iain that FORCES you to react, which is a sure marker of a quality broadcaster. Your complaint shows you sniping and making your horrible, and quite offensive, bullying accusation. I suppose he should talk about old sweets and capital punishment, these topics are so entertaining and vital, right? Ohhh, topic. Thats an old choccy bar, yay.

Ooooh come on. Broadcasters love this kind of stuff. God, Iain even retweeted it. Creates a buzz.
Talking about old sweets? LOL He was actually talking about new sweet and interesting stuff about obesity. I'll acknowledge that. "You could listen to any other station". Doh! Have you noticed a ton of snow on Sunday and some of us are listening to local radio for the travel and services updates. And yes schools too. How about interviews with Mums, Dads and employers who are struggling because of the weather conditions which this country can't cope with.

Love the first comment in a rich Bedfordshire dialect. And experimental? Well, the R101 airship was experimental too.
