Christmas is over so it's back to school, work, struggling to pay the bills and checking out the annual train fare increases. For me Thameslink wasn't as bad as I feared but it was still 4%. And nobody's income is going up 4%. Some people's income is going down and some people thanks to 'austerity' barely have an income at all. I might get into running railways.
But the end of the festive period also means disposing of that wonderful piney needle dropping tree in the front room and CBC are offering some handy solutions.
Recycle your 'real' Christmas tree at the local
You can either recycle your 'real' Christmas tree in the garden waste container at your local household waste recycling centre or put it out for collection from Monday, 7 January to Friday, 1 February on your normal garden waste collection day.
Please ensure tree segments are no taller than 5ft and have trunks no greater than 3 inches in diameter.
...and make sure you've got all the fairies and angels off them before they go out.
