Old A421 closed for repair

Remember the A421, or the "old A421". It's now called the C94. What a come down. I remember feeling pity when engineers said it had been "de-trunked" with the opening of the "new" A421. Ouch. Anyway, enough of the crocodile tears - watch out for this immediate road closure on the old A421/C94 due to a burst main.
Emergency Temporary Road Closure at the above location to enable burst main works to be carried out in safety.

Length affected: At junction with Hill Crescent

The closure is expected to take place from 19th - 25th June – 24 hours Access may be allowed from time to time according to local signing.

Alternative Route: Proceed straight ahead along the C94 (old A421) towards M1 junction 13 at the crossroads turn right onto Salford Road and continue to the junction Cranfield Road and turn right to continue to junction with Bow String Link, turn right continueing onto High Street and Marston Hill to the junction with Beancroft Road, turn right and continue to old A421 roundabout, take 3rd exit and continue to Brogbrough and vice versa.
